The North Herts Rugby and Netball Festival brings 50 teams together across men's rugby, ladies rugby and netball competitions. The tournament has a really local feel to it, with over 30 of the teams entered in the tournament's hailing from Hertfordshire.
The opportunity for senior sides to play at the same venue as other local sides is pretty rare these days. A finals day every now and then but it's not often you get every team from North Herts playing men's rugby together for example. With the league system, some of the great local rivalries have also been unfulfilled for years!
Whatsmore, how often do the ladies and men's sections get to play on the same day and in the same tournament! Add into that a sprinkling of teams from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, London, Bristol and Reading and you have a pretty special tournament.
The focus of NH21 isn't just on the sport though. Community is just as important to us and so you will see a number of local food vendors as part of Hitchin Street Food Monthly's food festival and some amazingly talented local artists headlining the CALA Homes stage. In a year of such uncertainty, we cannot wait to see you on the day!
